Meet the Owners - Chad & Paula Tallon
A Partnership of Reliability
Chad and Paula lead with a focus on people, performance, and a "boots on the ground" approach. Their mission is to deliver the gold standard in water and vacuum truck services through a culture of safety, consistency, and the hard work that has defined the company since its first truck in 2004.
Chad Tallon | President & Co-Owner
Chad’s approach to business is defined by technical experience and a straightforward, no-nonsense style. After earning his business diploma in 1996, he spent years as a wireline operator, followed by working as an environmentalist in the Alberta oil and gas industry. These years in the field provided the practical experience Chad used to launch the company over two decades ago.
Since then, Chad has focused on steady growth and reliable service. He remains involved in daily operations and continues to build and maintain genuine, long-term relationships with his clients – preferring to let the quality and consistency of the work speak for itself.
Outside of work, Chad is a dedicated sports fan, regularly cheering on the Oilers, Blue Jays and local teams like the Sylvan Lake Gulls and Wranglers. He is happiest enjoying lake life, traveling and spending time with Paula and their family. For Chad, the true reward is the quiet satisfaction of knowing that he put in his best effort and built a business based on integrity.
Paula Tallon | Vice-President & Co-Owner
Paula provides the organizational backbone that keeps CP Water Hauling moving forward. Transitioning from a career in education, Paula joined the business full-time in 2008 to support the growing complexities of the operation. As the Primary Financial Officer, she oversees the essential behind-the-scenes details, from accounting and payroll to the safety policies that protect their team of over 40 employees.
While Chad oversees the fleet, Paula provides the administrative discipline that ensures the business remains a reliable partner for its clients. Her background in education and business provides the structured approach necessary to manage the needs of a large-scale service operation.
Away from the office, Paula is a dedicated community member who has served in various leadership and board roles across local sports, education and community services. Like Chad, she enjoys her time at the lake and having the opportunity to travel. Paula is grateful that she can pursue her professional goals while staying connected to the Town of Sylvan Lake where she and Chad chose to raise their family and live their lives.
